[KOICA] PMC Service for Strengthening Capacity for Youth Agribusiness Development in Uganda
This project, with a budget of approximately 4.1 billion KRW, is being operated over a five-year period from December 1, 2022, to December 31, 2027. The Ugandan government has positioned agriculture as a key pillar of economic development, with a vision of becoming an agricultural nation. In response, KOICA has planned and is managing a long-term and systematic project that encompasses the entire agricultural value chain in Uganda. This project contributes to the development of the final stage of Uganda's agricultural value chain by identifying ideas that enhance the added value of agribusiness, and by providing education, consulting, coaching, and funding to young people.
· Project outcome: Establishment of a support system for agricultural and agribusiness ventures aimed at Ugandan youth, including capacity-building education to address youth unemployment and improve access to finance.

[KOICA] Final Evaluation Service for Public-Private Partnership International Disease Eradication Projects
From 2022 to 2023, final evaluations were conducted for three public-private partnership international disease eradication projects (Mozambique, Tanzania, Ethiopia). A lessons-learned report and feedback implementation plan were prepared, focusing on planning and resource management directions needed to sustain the outcomes of water, sanitation, and disease eradication projects.

[KOICA] 2022 Public-Private Partnership Project Performance Management Service for Capacity Building in Disability and Cooperative Sectors
The performance management (M&E) and evaluation of two KOICA cooperative projects and four disability sector projects, initiated in 2022, are being conducted in the following directions:
Direction 1: Consulting is provided to ensure that the CSO projects align well with KOICA's cooperative and disability sector performance goals and can achieve their objectives.
Direction 2: Consulting focuses on improving project performance and enhancing the performance management capabilities of CSOs.
Direction 3: Consulting is conducted as a partner sharing joint responsibility for achieving the project's performance goals.
Public Health Sector
Research on Identifying ODA Projects for the Master Plan on Environmental Improvement in Developing Countries
A feasibility study and stakeholder consultations were conducted for international development cooperation projects aimed at improving the environment in developing countries (such as the management of household waste in urban and rural areas). A detailed investigation was carried out in three countries— the Philippines, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan—among Korea's key partner countries where public health management is vulnerable due to environmental pollution and there is a strong will for improvement. Among these, a project was planned in Uzbekistan to construct a resource circulation center at an unsanitary landfill, with the aim of improving resource circulation rates while simultaneously enhancing public health.

[KOICA DAK Policy Cooperation Project] Capacity Building for Performance Management
in Civil Society Development Cooperation Projects
From June 2024 to December 2025, discussions will be held with approximately 50 domestic CSOs on the necessity and applicability of performance management governance for CSOs. Through training (theoretical education, basic education, expert training, and advanced monitoring education), experts were trained to conduct internal performance management for KOICA's private cooperation projects and to perform external evaluations as evaluation specialists.

Energy Sector
[KIAT] Project for ESS (Energy Storage System) Construction for Frequency Management in Senegal (2020 - 2024)
In order to meet the rapidly increasing demand for electricity in developing countries, the construction and operation of renewable energy power plants are expanding, which is causing frequency and voltage instability. Due to the frequency instability of Senegal's power system, there have been chronic problems such as damage to power devices and instability of industries due to large-scale power outages.
By constructing an ESS operation system and ESS with power system frequency regulation function, we are actively resolving the problem of power frequency instability and contributing to laying the foundation for the overall development of industry and society by enabling Senegalese residents, government agencies, and companies to use better quality electricity.
[Samwhan Electric] ODA Consulting Service for New Planning of Solid-State Battery Demonstration in Indonesia
In the planning of a project to stabilize power supply through the demonstration of a BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) based on solid-state batteries linked to renewable energy sources in West Java, Indonesia, we conducted the following to establish an ODA model: local literature review, stakeholder analysis, problem and alternative analysis, economic/environmental/social feasibility studies, and the preparation of an environmental and social management plan.
[SK Eco Plant] ESIA Consulting Service for the 200MW Wind Power Project in Nam Boong, Vietnam
For the construction of a 200MW wind power facility in Nam Boong and Nam Lan Communes, Van Chan District, Yen Bai Province, Vietnam, we conducted a review of the current Vietnamese laws to be followed, as well as the methods for Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA). Additionally, we predicted and evaluated the potential impacts on the local environment and society.
[KOGAS-TECH] Feasibility Study (F/S) for the Gas to Power Project in Songkhla Province, Thailand, Subcontract for Social Impact Assessment
In collaboration with a local private company, a large-scale Gas to Power project (targeting commercial operation by 2031) is being pursued to ensure power supply stability in Southern Thailand. We conducted a study of the local Thai environmental and social laws and standards that must be followed. Additionally, we investigated potential environmental and social risk factors and impacts at each project stage (construction, commissioning, and operation) and developed response plans.
Industry & Technology Sector
[KIAT] Project for buidling TASK center for mobility parts and supplying e-vehicles in Paraguay
The Paraguayan government has an economic development plan to achieve economic development centered on manufacturing and trade along with agriculture as a free trade country. KIAT conducted TASK (2020-2022) to analyze the demand for manufacturing in Paraguay and recognized the need for a base industry to increase the number and quantity of self-produced automobile parts. Through this project from 2022 to 2026, the company is preparing for future cooperation to establish an automobile parts TASK center and to provide a demonstration of electric vehicles to lay the foundation for electric vehicle parts. BAKELA is playing a role in preparing institutional improvement plans, performance management, and performance promotion through participatory workshops and invitation training.

Environment Secotr
[SK Ecoplant] Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for 200MW windfarm project in Nambungm Vietnam (2023-2024)
We conducted an assessment and prediction of the potential impacts on the local environment and society, as well as the current environmental and human rights laws of Vietnam that must be complied with when constructing a 200MW wind power plant in Nam Bung and Nam Lan communes, Ban Tran District, Yen Bai Province, Vietnam.
Considering the standards for environmental and social impact assessment required by the Vietnamese government and the inspection elements required by EDCF and various MDBs and FUNDs, we examined the impacts of construction/civil engineering activities on the environment during the on-site investigation and examined the changes and impacts on the lives of residents in nearby villages during the construction and operation of the power plant.
[KIAT] Support Project for Building a Green Energy Island in Guanaja, Honduras (2021-2024)
The residents of Guanaja Island, Honduras, were paying approximately six times more for electricity than those on the Honduran mainland. These electricity costs accounted for about half of the residents' income, creating a significant barrier to improving their living conditions.
In 2020, at the request of the IDB, KIAT conducted detailed planning and a feasibility study. As a result, a project was planned to establish a microgrid hybrid power generation system on Guanaja Island, using a solar power plant and an energy storage system (ESS) as power sources. The aim of the project is to provide affordable and stable clean energy. The project began in 2021 and is expected to be completed by 2024. Barkela is responsible for the project's performance management (baseline surveys, monitoring, and final surveys) and project promotion.
[KIAT] 2023 Post-Management Service for Industrial and Energy Cooperation Development Support (ODA)
A post-management review was conducted through a literature review and on-site inspection to assess the operational status of the Colombia wastewater treatment demonstration complex project, which was completed in 2022, and to identify recommendations applicable to similar future projects.
[TaeYang Technology Group] Feasibility Study for Carbon Reduction around Sihwa
A feasibility study was conducted for the construction of power generation facilities using renewable energy sources, such as solar power, seawater heat, and offshore wind, in the area around Lake Sihwa. This included an investigation of the local climate, social and cultural environment, an analysis of the industrial economy and characteristics of the region, a survey of the current renewable energy status around Sihwa, and an assessment of the development conditions. Additionally, an economic analysis of each energy source was performed, as well as a review of the potential climate, social, and environmental impacts of the project, along with considerations for addressing public concerns.
[NIGT] Commissioned Research on Establishing a Policy Framework for Integrated Urban Solid Waste Management and Identifying Investment Projects in ASEAN
Due to rapid urbanization, three of the ten ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei) are facing waste management challenges. For these countries, we developed status reports and best practice reports to establish a policy framework for waste management and identify investment projects. Additionally, we facilitated the operation of a consultative body.

[LX] 2023 Economic and Financial Feasibility Study for the Establishment of a 3D Cadastral and Digital Twin Platform in Indonesia
A financial and economic feasibility analysis was conducted for promoting a single project encompassing a total of nine tasks (from Execution Task 1.1 to 3.1) related to the establishment of a 3D cadastral and digital twin platform, as outlined in the organizational chart of the Indonesian National Land Agency. This included estimating the costs required for project execution, as well as the costs needed for maintenance and operation after the completion of each unit project, and calculating both the quantitative and non-quantitative benefits.
[KIAT] Project for railway track safety management in Vietnam (2022- 2024)
For a long time, the maintenance technology of the railway tracks of the Vietnam National Railways (VNR) has been used without any changes, and therefore it was very difficult to detect and respond to the safety status of the railway tracks in advance. Accordingly, in response to the request for project planning from the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), KIAT conducted a survey for project formation in 2019 with BAKELA, and based on this, detailed planning was completed in 2020 and this project started in 2022. This project will contribute to strengthening the safety management capacity of Vietnam's railways by establishing an advanced railway track maintenance system and training maintenance professionals, and Berkela is carrying out business support, stakeholder management, performance management, risk management, and performance promotion.
